This hammock has a waterproof lying surface and can therefore also be used on the ground without trees. The mosquito protection can also be erected without trees.
The two bottom layers of the DD Travel hammock are made of waterproof nylon. At the four loops you can peg the DD Travel to the ground. So you can use it as a tent if there are no suitable trees for mounting. Inside the hammock are two small pockets for storing small items such as flashlight, cell phone or the like. The two layers can be closed with three Velcro fasteners. This prevents slipping of an insulating mat, which can be inserted as a protection against the cold if necessary. In addition to the 3 meter mounting strap, a 2 meter elastic cord is included which can be attached to the inside of the hammock and used to hang light items such as glasses.
As with all DD travel hammocks, the mosquito net is a fixed part of the hammock. The fine net provides protection against mosquitoes and gnats. Two zippers on the sides allow easy entry and exit. In the Travel Hammock / Bivi you can of course also lie without mosquito protection. Simply turn the hammock upside down. Through the now black mosquito net you can see through better and with the lightweight, collapsible aluminum poles, the net is stretched to the width.
Since the bottom of this lightweight hammock is waterproof, it is together with the DD Tarp the ultimate camping equipment. Whether used as a hammock between two trees or as a tent on the ground the DD Travel gives you the flexibility you need in the great outdoors.
