The green, super-lightweight tarp from DD Hammocks was specially developed as a small shelter and rain protection for cyclists. The bike is integrated as a support during assembly.
Developed for ultra-light bike tours
This tarpaulin, specially developed for cyclists and bikepackers, is cut in such a way that it can be set up in just a few minutes with the aid of the bike saddle. To ensure that the bike has a secure stand when the green tarpaulin is attached to it, the delivery includes an anchoring strap with which the handlebars can be secured. This keeps the bike upright when the tarp anchorage is looped around the saddle, which serves as a support, and the tarp is tensioned to the rear. in just a few simple steps, you can create weather protection for one person.
Waterproof and ultra-lightweight tarp
The tarp itself is made of a waterproof (water column 3000 mm) and ultra-light material, so that the total weight including the anchoring strap and pegs is barely more than half a kilo. In addition to the weight, the pack size is also an important issue when bike touring or bikepacking. The tarp can be packed so small that it even fits in the pocket of your cycling jersey.
Sun protection, rain cover, wind protection
Despite its name, this tarp can also be used without a bike. It has a diamond-shaped design and 13 guy points. Instead of attaching it to a bike saddle, the loop that forms the highest point of the tarp can also be attached to a branch or a cord between two trees. This tarp, including accessories, weighs barely more than half a kilo and can be compressed to a small pack size, protecting you from rain, wind and sun. It is waterproof and the seams are sealed. When unfolded, the tarp measures 3.7 x 2.3 meters and has 13 guy points. Thanks to its design, the tarp can also be used without a bike, e.g. it can be attached to a branch, a ledge or a taut cord.
2 guy ropes, a strap to stabilize the bike and 8 pegs are included in the scope of delivery and, in combination with the Bikepacker Groundsheet, you are also protected against moisture from below, i.e. wet ground.

- To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently (change after 10 times)
- Store in a cool, dry, dark place
- Always ensure your gear (including any cordage) is completely dry before storing away
- Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (above 40C and below -15C)
- Please keep your tarp a safe distance from fires and naked flames at all times.
- Do not machine wash. Clean carefully by hand only, using lukewarm water
- Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause material to weaken
- Ensure the area around the product is kept free of hazards
- Children should be supervised when using this product
- If tent line tensioners are included with the product, please use these or similar ones of the same design. Please do not secure a tarp with an inelastic knot. Strong gusts of wind can otherwise damage a tarp.
